Abstract

Latar Belakang;

Breast care is very important for health, because breast care activities are useful for maintaining breast hygiene to avoid infection, increasing production of breast milk by stimulating the milk glands, preventing the occurrence of breast milk or breast swelling, flexing and strengthen nipples and know early about nipple abnormalities and make efforts to overcome them. MOH (2010) reported that 46% of breastfeeding inconsistencies occurred due to lack of breast care, 25% due to breastfeeding frequency of less than 8x / day, 14% due to LBW, 10% due to premature and 5% due to acute or chronic disease

Tujuan:

To find out whether there is an effect of breast care on breast milk production on breastfeeding mothers in Ngampel Hamlet, Panunggalan Village, Pulokulon District.

Metode:

These designs are quantitative studies with correlational studies. The research design used was cross sectional. In determining the research sample using purposive sampling with 34 respondents followed.

Hasil:

Frequency of respondents who performed breast care was 26 respondents (76.5%) and smooth respondents' ASI production were 23 respondents (67.6%). Based on the results of chi square, get p value 0.000 means less than α degree so that it is concluded that Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected.

Kesimpulan:

There is a relationship between breast care and breast production in breastfeeding mothers in Ngampel village, Panunggalan village, Pulokulon district
