PENGARUH ANTARA PENDIDIKAN KESEHATAN TENTANG PENULARAN SKABIES TERHADAP TINGKAT PENGETAHUAN DI PONDOK PESANTREN AL AZIZAH MLAYUT KARANGGENENG KECAMATAN GODONG KABUPATEN GROBOGAN

Abstract

Background: Scabies is a skin disease that is still commonly found in Indonesia and remains a health problem in the community. Scabies is a skin disease caused by the infection of situngau sarcoptes scabei var hominisand its products on the body. Scabies are endemic to the community. The disease is common in children and young adults, but can affect all age groups. Scabies skin disease is an easily contagious disease. The disease can be transmitted directly (skin contact with the skin) and indirectly.

Purpose: To know the influence between health education about the transmission of scabies to the level of knowledge in Pesantren Al Azizah Mlayut Karanggeneng District Godong Grobogan Regency.

Method: This study uses a pre-experiment design with a one group pretest-posttest approach. The sampling used random sampling with a sample of 44 respondents. The data analysis used is wilxocon test and mean-whitne test.

Results: the results of the study showed that there were differences before and after health education with an average score of 22.50, and a sigifikan value of p (0.000) < 0.05, then Ha was accepted, thus there was a meaningful difference between pre-test and post test at the knowledge level of santri

Conclusion: There are significant differences before and after health education is given. This is because respondents mostly pay attention to counseling or information provided by counselors, in addition to the large number of students with curiosity about skabies handlers through questions asked during counseling
