HUBUNGAN PEMAKAIAN COMPACT POWDER TERHADAP TINGKAT KEPARAHAN ACNE VULGARIS PADA REMAJA WANITA DI MA YPI KLAMBU

Abstract

Latar Belakang: Acne vulgaris is a chronic inflammatory disease of pilosebaceous follicle which commonly affect in 14-17 years old. In 2007, there was 80% teenagers with acne vulgaris in Indonesia. One of the causes of acne is by the using cosmetics. An impact caused by acne vulgaris is not only about physical problem, but also about quality of life and psychological health in teenagers.

Tujuan: The purpose of this study is to determine the correlation of using compact powder and level of severity of acne vulgaris in teenage women in MA

YPI Klambu

Metode: Thes research was of quantitative research with Cross Sectional approach, sampling technique used Non Probability Sampling with Purposive Sampling of 61 respondents. Hypotesis test used Spearman rho with SPSS 16.0.

Hasil: Based on the analisys using SPSS 16.0 with Spearman rho test, it gets value = 0,006 so the correlation of both variables is significant because the value of p (p-value) is smaller than α = 0,05. This means that there is a statistically significant relationship between two variables.

Kesimpulan: From the results or the above research it can be concluded that there is a correlation of using compact powder and level of severity of acne vulgaris in teenage women in MA YPI Klambu.
