Abstract

Background: The quality of nursing services is the professional attitude of nurses who provide a comfortable, protected feeling for each patient who is undergoing the healing process where this attitude is a compensation as a service provider and is expected to create a feeling of satisfaction in the patient. The quality of nurse service, whether good or bad, depends on the service provider or the hospital in consistently meeting patient expectations. Cooperation in accordance with expectations, the patient’s family will be satisfied, if the performance exceeds expectations, the patient will be happy or happy, but if the performance is lower than expectations, the patient’s satisfaction will feel dissatisfied.

Purpose: To determine the relationship between reliability and responsiveness of nurses to patient satisfaction in the Emergency Unit (ER) of the Sunan Kalijaga Regional Hospital, Demak.

Method: This research design uses an analytical survey with a cross sectional study approach with accidents sampling technique with a total sample of 77 respondents. Statistical test using chi square.

Result: There is a significant relationship between the dimensions of reliability p value (0.000), responsiveness p value (0.000) on patient satisfaction.

Conclusion: Reliability and responsiveness of nurses can affect patient satisfaction in the ER Sunan Kalijaga Hospital, Demak
