Abstract

Background :Traffic accidents are the third leading cause of death that requires serious treatment. Death can occur due to lack of knowledge and ability to perform pre-hospital first aid. For this reason, it is necessary to increase knowledge, especially for ordinary people, in the effort to provide pre-hospital first aid. The data is reinforced by the information of medical personnel at one of the hospitals in Godong, most patients who are taken to the hospital have not received treatmentearly and by means of transportation that mostly violate the proper rules.Purpose: This study aims to determine the effect of Demonstration on Basic Life Support on Patient Assistance on Community Knowledge in Dangi Village, Godong DistrictMethods: This research is a quantitative study using a pre-experimental method with a one group pre-post test design. The sample is 16 respondents using systematic random sampling technique. The research was conducted in Dangi Village, Godong District. The population of this research is the people in Dangi Village, Godong District. The dependent variable is demonstration while the independent variable is the level of knowledge.Results: using the Wilcoxon statistical test, the p value = value of 0.033 was obtained.Conclusion: shows the influence of the Effect of Demonstration on Basic Life Support on Patient Assistance on Community Knowledge in Dangi Village, Godong District
